Let your goals scare you

The last few weeks I've been very excited about my new goals.

2 weeks ago I took a piece of paper, and I wrote down all of my goals. I dreamt big and wide, 1-year goals and 10-year goals. I wrote everything that I wanted to achieve on paper. It felt sooo good. There's something about putting it all down on paper. It's one thing to think and visualize goals, but when you tell someone about it, or you write it down on a piece of paper (yes, paper! Put those devices asides for this one!) - it feels more real. You are putting it out into the Universe and saying 'Hey, look, this is what I want!'

Last week I had a very productive, creatively abundant week. I crushed my goals and felt very excited to take more action towards my projects and ideas. This morning I woke up, went to my 7 am boxing class, got some work done at a cafe, and then trained a few clients. I got home and whilst editing my website, I started to feel really, really overwhelmed.

'Can I actually do this?'
'Can I actually achieve all that I want to achieve?
'Oh gosh, this is making me feel a little nervous and scared. Okay, not a little.'

I took my phone out and texted my best friend.
ME: 'GIRL. Can I ask you something'
Allie: 'What's up?'
ME: 'I feel really overwhelmed about my goals and all that I want to achieve. Do you ever get that? I've been so excited about taking action, and it's all going great, but now I just got hit by this wave of fear and I feel overwhelmed.'
Allie: 'Yeah, the past days I've felt that too. But the thing is, we are doing our best and preparing ourselves to be in the places we want to be. But if your goals don't scare you, are they even worth pursuing? '

I love her. Yes. Scary feelings and feeling overwhelmed is a sign that I really want to work hard and achieve those goals. I'm committed. After our conversation, I open my Instagram, and the first post that I see is by an influencer Thegreylayers. Under her picture, it says

"If your dreams and goals aren't scaring you, you're not dreaming big enough."

Thank you thank you THANK YOU Universe for this message. I hear you! I see you! I know you're looking out for me!

What I'm trying to say here is - It is OKAY if your goals scare you. It is OKAY if you wake up in the middle of the night, wondering 'HOW THE HECK am I going to achieve all these things. Where do I even start?'

Baby steps. Teeny, tiny steps every. single. day. Start that website. Go to that audition. Make that phone call. Contact that Investor. Apply for that school. Go to that open mic. Reach out to that director.

Thank you, Allie, for reminding me that it is okay to feel scared. If it scares you, it means you are ready to kick your fear in the booty! You're ready to go after your dreams full-force, not letting anything stop you! Yes - the size of it can be a little overwhelming. That's okay!

Go after it, full force, fearless. Ain't no body got time for mediocre goals!

I know you can do it!
